The BLACK + DECKER TLD100 Thermal Leak Detector will help to identify both hot and cold draughts around your home. It has a large LED display that shows the temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. The detector automatically switches between shining a blue light for cooler leaks, or a red one for hotter targets. Powered by a single 9V alkaline battery that sits neatly into the handle where the switch is located.

The spot color is changing all the time. What’s wrong? You may have the threshold switch set to a value that is too low. Slide the switch to the 5ºF (3ºC) or 10ºF (5.5ºC) setting. You may also need to turn the power button off, aim the TLD at your reference point again, and turn the power back on. Be sure to hold the TLD in place until the green light comes on and the screen shows a reference temperature
